Pianist Jared Alan Yoakem has toured as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the U.S. at venues such as Brevard College, Castleton Festival, Radford University, and Wake Forest University. As a collaborative artist, he has performed with artists such as Sujari Britt, entities such as Classical Singers Music Magazine and the Vocal Immersion Program (ViP), and a catalog of choral projects including two national PBS broadcasts at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, TN. He is a prizewinner of the 40th International Young Artist Piano Competition and the recipient of the Dean’s Advisory Council Award for outstanding achievement in music from Belmont University in 2019. His teachers include Elena Bennett, Mayron Tsong, and Kwan Yi. He holds degrees from Belmont University and East Carolina University. He has attended the Collaborative Piano Institute at Louisiana State University, the Leon Fleisher Academy, and Vivace Music Foundation; he has participated in masterclasses by Stanislav Ioudenitch, Julian Martin, Anne-Marie McDermott, Robert McDonald, and Rebecca Penneys.

Yoakem is currently serving as Class Piano Coordinator at the University of Maryland, where he is currently working towards a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree. He is the Artistic Administrator at the Castleton Festival, led by Artistic Director Dietlinde Turban Maazel.
